TRAMA:

Durante il Congresso di Vienna del 1815, Sissi, la figlia di un orchestrale, è innamorata di Ferdinand, il segretario del conte di Metternich. Vista dallo Zar con addosso uno splendido abito, viene introdotta da lui a una festa. Sospettata di essere una spia, Sissi si inventa storie stravaganti che, inaspettatamente, hanno un riscontro nella realtà e in questo modo salva l\\\'Austria dopo la fuga di Napoleone dall\\\'isola d\\\'Elba. Sissi è Romy Schneider, ma il film non ha niente a che fare con la famosa serie, interpretata dalla stessa attrice, sulla Sissi storica: Elisabetta di Baviera, la bella e sfortunata moglie di Francesco Giuseppe.
