Description

Plot:

American Horror Story: Asylum draait rond een criminele psychiatrische instelling en vindt plaats aan de Oostkust in het jaar 1964.

Asylum verwijst enerzijds naar de voormalige tuberculose-afdeling die onder leiding van de katholieke kerk werd omgebouwd tot een psychiatrische instelling.

Anderzijds verwijst de ondertitel ook naar het toevluchtsoord voor de ongewensten en de ongeliefden.

Centraal in het verhaal staat de geestelijke gezondheid en de levensechte horror van de bewoners.
